 Iran’s South Pars Oil Company has drilled the first seven wells for Phases 17 & 18 at the A18 platform with a production capacity of 15 million cubic meters of gas.

Eng. Boyeri has said that the seven rille wells have a gas production capacity of 15 million cubic meters per day (55mcbf). A new schedule has been designe for these two phases according to the current conditions in order to achieve early development of the offshore section.

The company has also completed the pipe-laying operations for the development of Phase 19 with a total length of 230 km.

The 32-inch pipeline will be used to transfer gas produced in offshore platforms of the project from Persian Gulf waters to the onshore processing unit.

With the completion of this operational section, 231 Km. of pipe-laying operations in this new gas phase were executed beyond the planned targets and without any reported technical accident.

“The pipe-laying operations of the second sour gas 32-inch pipeline, for transfer of the produced gas in the offshore platforms of the project in Persian Gulf waters to the onshore processing unit were completed with the successful effort of the personnel working in this section,” said Eng. Hamidreza Massoudi.

The operations for execution of the first sour-gas transfer 32-inch pipeline and glycol 4-inch pipeline with a length of 115 km. were completed last October.

Massoudi said: at present the pipe-laying operations of the second 32-inch sour gas pipeline and glycol 4-inch pipeline from the onshore processing unit to the site of the production platforms with a length of 115 km. are now completed with the highest technical quality.
