The course focuses on correct safe application theory and practice, aiming to reduce overspray and wastage as well as extend asset lifetimes and minimise rework.
Mauricio Bannwart, managing director, protective coatings business, AkzoNobel, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of the SSPC ‘TrainthePainter’ programme. It means that we are able to share our expertise with the industry and provide delegates with training of the highest quality, delivered by the people who best understand the products and practices involved in coatings application.”
“The qualification on offer is frequently being written into specifications for major oil and gas companies, national transport and governmental organisations as more people recognise the benefit of having trained professionals working on their assets. The course also reflects our commitment to sustainability and quality within the coatings industry,” added Bannwart.
David Eyre, project manager, SSPC ‘TrainthePainter’, said: “We are delighted to be working with AkzoNobel to deliver this high quality programme. By helping painters to improve their application skills, we are helping to reduce overspray, reduce waste and reduce the need for rework.
