Three60 Energy strengthens senior management team
Newly formed oilfield services company makes key c-suite appointment to help drive forwards growth strategy.
Three60 Energy, a newly formed oilfield services company backed by Simmons Private Equity, has announced the appointment of a new board member to strengthen the senior management team and drive the future growth of the group.
Walter Thain has recently been appointed as CEO, North Sea and is responsible for supporting the strategic growth of recently acquired Step Change Engineering, adding further acquisitions and leading the development of overall life cycle support services capability in the North Sea.
Thain has 28 years oil and gas industry experience and joins Three60 Energy from Petrofac, where he held key roles in the UK and UAE, most recently as managing director, west for engineering & production services.
Petrofac has extensive engineering, procurement and construction contracts across the Middle East’s upstream and downstream sectors.

Three60 Energy is an energy services group whose aim is to deliver a more complete solution for owners, developers and operators of energy assets. Its strategy is to build a portfolio of oilfield services operating across the entire asset life cycle within the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore.
Three60 Energy has already acquired Leap Energy based in Malaysia and Step Change Engineering based in Aberdeen, UK. It is in active discussions with a number of companies interested in participating in the group.
