GE Oil & Gas touts environmental credentials
Two turbines and a waste heat recovery system to carry GE's 'ecomagination' environmental certification.
Three more of GE Oil & Gas’s key products are now compliant with its own ecomagination certification.
To earn the tag, a product is evaluated for its ability to significantly and measurably improve environmental and operating performance. The certification process is concluded with an independent, third-party audit.
The products that have received the ecomagination certification are its PGT25+ dry low emissions (DLE) aeroderivative gas turbine; the PGT25+G4 DLE aeroderivative gas turbine module and the ORegen* waste heat recovery system.
“Given the current global economy, the oil and gas industry is looking for proven, cost-effective solutions to optimise the performance of facilities and also demonstrate a commitment to reduce their environmental footprints,” said Claudi Santiago, president and CEO, GE Oil & Gas.
“GE’s ecomagination certification is an important tool that we can use to quantify the value of our PGT25+ and PGT25+G4/DLE technologies and ORegen waste heat recovery system for our customers.”
