IDOC 2011 will showcase best practice for the implementation of digital oil field technologies in the Middle East.

Recent independent market research has identified the Middle East as having the fastest digital oilfield adoption (DOF) rate. Consequently, it is the fastest growing and most dynamic market for related services and IDOC 2011 (International Digital Oilfield Conference) is now the only international meeting this year featuring current and future DOF activities and possibilities here in the Middle East.

The conference and this programme features 11 presentations from the Region’s NOCs’ on current and future DOF plans that were selected by 22 members of IDOC Advisory Committee. The event will be held at the Abu Dhabi Hilton from May 23rd to May 25th.

Additionally, delegates may choose from the 2 pre-conference workshops, both of which are free to attend. The intention is that after attending the workshop of their choice, delegates will be able to return to their companies equipped with a better understanding of how DOF can improve their exploration and production plans and operations.

The IDOC conference, developed by the Advisory Committee, and now in its second year focuses on the implementation of DOF within the NOC's in the Middle East and the many inherent benefits in doing so. The presentations at the IDOC conference are primarily describing the practical aspects achieved thus far by the leading NOC's and also the international experiences of vendors and consultants specializing in the proper adoption of DOF principles.
